How does sound healing work?
Acutonics sound therapy is a practice of self-affirmation and deep relaxation.
Using only a massage table, planetary tuning forks, vibration and breath, we create a space of stillness.
Many eastern cultures believe there is a force of innate understanding at our core, which pierces through the noise and Ego of day-to-day life. In Sanskrit, it is known as purushua.
Sound and breath are invaluable tools in the effort to realize our Eternal Self, or purusha.
We begin each session by tuning into the breath and establishing a connection to the Eternal Self.
Tuning forks are used to open the Heart, ground the Spirit, and connect Outer Body with Inner Self. In this way, we restore our personal connection to Earth.
Each tuning fork vibrates at the frequency of a specific planet making its way through the cosmos.
By placing the tuning forks on specific energetic gateways, or meridians, on the body, we are plugging back into Source.
When our life force (prana) is allowed to flow freely, we feel whole again.
Once our meridians are open and activated, we use our voice to vibrate at the same frequency as the tuning forks.
Feelings of deep joy and wellbeing emerge as we surround ourselves in a cocoon of elemental sound. This is where the healing takes place.
By audibly expressing these planetary tones, we affirm our place in the natural harmony of the Universe.
Our voices are containers for our Truth.
Once the intention is planted, and the mind is willing, we are able to move forward with the necessary changes in our lives.
Sound therapy is simply a way of recalling the fundamental harmonizing forces that govern the Universe. We know them already.
